My son just got hospitalised with meningitis.
My private insurance lapsed.
It costs me €1k a day.

For all who ask, my son shall be fine as this is the less worst kind of meningitis (not bacterial, no permanent damage). He’s in for at least 3 days. High fever but getting better, and well taken care of. Thanks for your kind words 💙
Quickly ”checking in“ to tell you kid is better although maybe in for 2 more days -They still don’t know what meningitis it is, it’s a rare one that for sure, so they’re careful. Negotiations to “unlapse” the mutuelle and the hospital to wait until then for paperwork look good.

Good news: results are back, kid is out of isolation, no more masks needed, perf is gone, fever is gone too. He can’t stand for more than 2 minutes but can sit alright and shall regain strength soon. Such a relief.
Kid went back home today -all fine. 🤗
