I understand this pitch, and I favor impeachment. but folks need to realize this isn’t 1974 in terms our media landscape and I think it’s wildly optimistic to think hearings would produce a collective a-ha moment like in 1974
I.e. there was no billion dollar, right-wing media infrastructure in 1974 dedicated to tearing down impeachment hearings everyday
again, i favor impeachment and of course Dems should hold Trump accountable that way. i just don't think it will move the needle much.

just out of curiosity, why is CNN interviewing "eight [white] Republican women from Dallas" to ask them abt racist tweets?

wouldn't eight independent voters be much more insightful in terms of how the story is playing nationally?
and if CNN is interested in how story is playing w/ partisans, why not interview eight voters of color from NYC?
btw, turns out they’re not just Dallas Republican voters, they’re Trump activists

Tom and Ray were diagnosticians. They reveled in the challenge of solving unusual problems. It’s no surprise that they found satisfaction in working on cars. (The fact that most Car Talk “puzzlers” were completely non-automotive shows how wide-ranging their intelligence was)
Here’s what they were not: zealots. Partisans. Self appointed “lifestyle” spokespeople. They were environmentalists, and advocates for frugality (in terms of fuel, and money spent on repairs, and the cars they recommended), but it was never presented in opposition to someone else

There are no black majority NFL owners, for the same reason that there are no black Angus steer that own cattle farms.

As a rancher, you don't want a cow buying the ranch next to you. The very question is ridiculous.
Look at the difference in the relationship between NFL Players and owners, and NBA Players and owners.

Look at how the NBA handled Donald Sterling.

Look at how @Vivek responded to the Stephon Clark shooting.

There's a difference in how people are treated on a human level.
Look at how outspoken coaches like Popovich and Kerr are on issues that affect our society. Look at how informed they are.

Look at the statement that the Milwaukee bucks issued on the arrest of Sterling Brown.

Contrast with the heat that Pete Carroll faces for even trying.
