Hey citizen gente! 👋🏽 Here’s some ways you could be an ally ahead of the #ICEraids.

See an ICE checkpoint? You can ask them why they are stopping and searching cars. You can also ask where they’re taking people. Now is not the time to be silent.

If ICE is asking folks for their IDs on a bus, train, or anywhere else, refuse to show yours, so you’re the one resisting not undocumented folks. Ask ICE why they’re there in the first place. Ask them for a warrant signed by a federal judge.

If you see someone being taken away and detained, ask why they are being detained and where they are being transferred to.

Record the interaction, follow the guidelines provided by @UNITEDWEDREAM.

Document everything! Write down & film badge numbers, license plates, and everything that occurred during the incident.

Find other people and friends that are willing to respond to raids and create a response group.

Remember your rights as a citizen, you have the right to be present, observing, bearing witness, photographing and videotaping (videotaping laws do vary state by state however).

Get ready to show up at an ICE field office, detention center or jail and advocate for our people in cages. Also, be ready launch calls to action and demand ICE release detained folks.

Help with finding resources.
- Create a list of local lawyers providing free legal services to detained undocumented folks.
- If you are a part of a church, get ready to offer to offer sanctuary and make that happen.
