I have been tweeting for the past year that the actual number of separated children that are still separated was around 20000 ( not under 4500 as disclosed to the courts).

I am updating it to 28000 since trump was sworn in.

Check immigration detention and transportation BILLING
2/ these detention and transportation contractors get tax payers dollars and they do not do work for free. They bill for every child they move. WHY AREN’T WE AUDITING THEM TO GET THE REAL NUMBER OF KIDS SEOARATED FROM PARENTS AND LOST IN THE SYSTEM???

Today, the president of the United States told four brown and black American congresswomen to "go back to their countries." Three of them are natural born citizens and the fourth is an immigrant and onetime refugee whose family chose America as home. It was birtherism x4.
This man's wife is an immigrant. His mother and grandfather were too. But he would be shocked if he was told his wife should go back to Slovenia or that he should go live in Germany. Why? Because to people who think like this, whiteness IS what makes you American.
Whiteness; really whiteness plus Christianity, for ethnonationalists, is definitional to being *truly* Italian or German or Polish or Hungarian or French or British, or American. That's what these far right global agonistes are about.
