RACISM ACCORDING TO BRIT, A THREAD.

Trump's recent tweets, widely condemned as racist, inviting 4 American citizens to go back to their crime-infested countries, were in fact NOT racist according to Fox News' Brit Hume. Brit has strong views on what is and is not racist! 1/

Let's start easy. Is saying the N-word racist? Obviously, you think, yes. But for Brit, it really depends on context!

OK so if you don't CALL someone a racial slur, it's not racist? Again, says Brit, it depends. Sometimes it's harmless!

OK but surely, even if Brit gets real sensitive about "the left" labeling things that aren't racist, racist, surely he can agree that some of the stuff "the left" says was racist is racist, like birtherism? Well …

OK how about THE consensus most racist political ad in recent history: Willie Horton. There are whole classes devoted to this! The people involved ADMITTED they wanted to activate white fear. EVERYONE knows the Willie Hor— fuck man Brit come on.

So damn I guess if you don't think the Willie Horton ads were racist you … should I even ask about Ed Gillespie's ads in the VA Gov campaign where he just went all-in on "Elect me or MS-13 gangs will rape and kill you"? Hmm.

I'm really running out of ways to go with this. Brit seems to agree that at the very least directly calling a person an ESTABLISHED racial slur like the N-word is racist. But what else … …
