As we commemorate #Apollo50, I’m reminded of what’s truly inspiring about the mission- that all corners of our country contributed to achieving the goal set out by President Kennedy.

The Command Module Columbia, home for the three astronauts on their way to and from the moon, was designed and built by Pittsburgh’s North American Rockwell.

The Trump Administration has gone to great lengths to suppress climate science in order to downplay the threat of climate change. We must act on the serious threat of climate change and that begins with respecting science
This Administration’s failure to promote its own USDA researchers’ climate science hurts our farmers, ranchers and rural communities. Additionally, the reckless relocation of ERS and NIFA is already causing a loss of expertise and a disruption of critical research.

If the Trump Administration actually wants to help the homeless they can begin by reversing the cuts they have proposed to vital programs
The Trump Administration has worked to drastically cut and even eliminate entire federal programs that keep the lowest-income people affordably housed
The Administration has sought to triple rents for the lowest-income subsidized residents and raise rents for all others

Every day we see evidence of the impact of climate change – forced migration, increased instability and food insecurity and declining economic growth. President Trump’s methane rule roll back is a gift to energy companies mortgaged on the future of our kids and the planet.
U.S. Farmers are on the front lines of the of climate change, facing increasing droughts, floods, extreme temperatures, severe storms and shifting pest and disease pressures. Farmers can also play a role in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and storing carbon.
We need to support farmers to ensure they have the tools they need to be leaders in the fight against climate change.

Thanks to @Erdayastronaut, while digging into aerospike engine history, he came across this test site in Nevada called the "Nevada Field Laboratory" (NFL) which is tucked away between Reno, NV and Pyramid Lake 📍 Map: maps.apple.com/?address=Reno,…
The NFL test site is only 20 miles north of Reno, and the only people that (I recall) knowing that this place even existed were local farmers.

Turns out...this place was instrumental in the #Gemini, #Apollo, and #Shuttle programs for supporting rocket engine dev testing 🚀

Both President Trump and President Xi want, in some deep sense, their respective countries to import less. President Xi has been somewhat more effective at achieving that goal.

That's an intentionally provocative framing, but Xi is deeply committed to the basic goals around "Made in China 2025" and China's imports of manufactures have (net of imports for reexport) fallen as a share of China's GDP under his tenure.
And best I can tell (and it is admittedly hard) the slowdown in China's own imports over the last 4qs has been an independent source of the global slowdown -- e.g. the weakness in China's imports of manufactures right now isn't just a function of weak trade and Trump's tariffs

❄Everything they do ritually is a tool for manifesting this energy, regardless of the specific goal. And more is always better than less...it is true that you get what you pay for, particularly when the currency is as valuable as human life. So they don't hold back.
❄It doesn't even matter if we believe that they're not capable of successfully achieving what they set out to do. It only matters that THEY believe it. In many ways, they are more faithful and devout than any human, because their belief and trust is absolute. Unquestioning.
