I hope @realDonaldTrump knows @KamalaHarris is going to be his opponent in 2020. Start now to prep for that by filling all half dozen vacancies (current or imminent) on fed circuit courts with supremely qualified women. Breakdown in nominations troubling, but a big opportunity.
B/c we know @KamalaHarris is going to pound on the gender gap in the hope of widening it, do the most possible to anticipate and prepare to refute attacks. A half dozen terrific nominees to circuits who are also women a great step for @realDonaldTrump to take this week.
For status on circuits, see @EdWhelanEPPC from this week: nationalreview.com/bench-memos/on… The 3 current or imminent vacancies on 9th Circuit are puzzling as well as those on 2d. @realDonaldTrump just has to demand the names and send them up to @SenateGOP @senatemajldr @LindseyGrahamSC
