I know this is from last week, but a lot of people have been asking for an explanation for why the BDS movement is clearly antisemitic so I will try to explain:

First, the clear goal (as admitted by the leaders) of the BDS movement is the destruction of the Jewish state.
The movement seeks to single out and punish the only Jewish state in the world. Advocates of BDS do not try to impose similar measures on indisputably much worse human rights abusers.

BDS Founder Omar Barghouti opposes the existence of the Jewish state: spectator.org/boycott-israel…
A lot of is made about BDS being “non-violent,” but Barghouti supported “armed resistance” against Israel. He sees BDS as an alternative method to pursue his goal.

Further, BDS has been directly tied to several terrorist groups: brandeiscenter.com/israeli-report…
Because of extent to which anti-Semites now commonly cover their bigotry by calling it Israel criticism, the US State Department had an easy test to differentiate between legitimate criticism of Israel and anti-Semitism. The 3D test of anti-Semitism: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_test_o…
The 3D test suggests anyone who employs any of these aimed at Israel is no longer just engaging in legitimate criticism of the state: delegitimization, demonization, and double standards.

BDS supporters regularly fail not just one, but all 3 of these standards.
As an example, let’s look at Ilhan Omar (D).

Deligitimization- Suggested Israel should not be allowed to exist as a Jewish state and is not a legitimate Democracy: dailywire.com/news/42864/wat…

Double Standards-
Any rational standard that you employ makes it clear that BDS is an anti-Semitic movement aimed at destroying the world's only Jewish state. Obviously some of the supporters can simply be ignorant, but that doesn't change that fact.
And btw this was a fact that was widely acknowledged by leading Democrats not that long ago.

Ex: Chuck Schumer -

I want to add one thing to this: Let's say for some reason you ONLY cared about Palestinian human rights. Palestinian rights are being abused by govts in Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon, Syria etc. But somehow BDS activists only speak out and choose to boycott one place..Israel.

This is a big issue, and it's one that a lot of people in the media and on the left continue to ignore relative to the immigration crisis.
Rewarding this behavior puts children at risk and encourages human trafficking.
Imagine a relatively common hypothetical: Single Honduran man wants to come to America to work because pay is much > here. He's not really interested in becoming an American, just earning $. Clearly doesn't have legit claim for asylum and a visa could take years. What does he do?
He can 1) wait for the visa 2) try to cross illegally or come to a PoE and apply 4 asylum with high chance he gets deported or 3) joins a caravan/ find a family unit to be part of knowing he would likely get released during asylum claim and authorities won't pursue him after.

U.S. Soccer has released a fact sheet related to the gender pay gap discussion. The facts here paint a significantly different picture than the ones that were widely presented in the media over the last few months.
From 2010-2018 the USWT was paid almost $8M more than USMT. That does not include benefits, such as healthcare, which are only guaranteed for the USWT.

Average game revenue for men's games from 2009-2019 was almost double that of women's games (972K vs. 425K).
That does not include FIFA numbers, where the disparity in revenue is far more significant and women still get a larger percentage share of the prize pool.

Hard to see how any pay-focused lawsuit could have merit with these facts.

Most liberals plainly admitted they were disappointed.

Wow! Just when you thought the ‘kids’ of @brightonbds had reached a pinnacle of stupidity, ignorance and ridiculousness they come along and prove that their journey into farce hasn’t yet concluded. Allow me to explain:
The kids have been quiet this week and a quick glance showed us they’ve spent the last week focusing on matters other than Palestine/Israel/Jews & on how they were saving the planet. We are truly grateful. We hope they spend far more of their time on this worthwhile project
However they thought they’d put their toe back in the water of stirring racial tensions using the ‘Corbyn method’. That is to tweet this at 8pm last night, when all them Jewish people were sitting down to eat Matzah at Pesach (I guess they thought we’d be too busy to notice!)

first public comment here at the cville school board meeting asks the board to ban confederate symbols in schools. they are implicit threats of violence. “these symbols send one message to black and brown people: you are not welcome here.”
he asks the city school board to “take a leadership role” on the issue — subtly hinting at the failure of albemarle county schools to take this step.
the second public commenter is a high school student speaking in behalf of the black student union. they support the dress code change to ban confederate symbols. “as a student at charlottesville high school, i really don’t want to see these symbols in my school.”

Every Mothers' Day, my ex-girlfriend would always prank text me that she's pregnant and that I should greet her.

Last year, the usual. She texted me the same thing. Only this time, she's actually pregnant. Not with me. But with the guy she cheated on me with for about two years.
She made me happy so it's only fair I talk about her the way I would have years ago. :) Let's call her "K". K was/is beautiful. Not the kind that drew way too much attention when she walks into every room. It was the kind of beauty that revealed itself when you're alone with her.
I guess, I was one of the (un)fortunate ones who caught sight of the universe inside her eyes. I think I've told her everyday how it was my favorite part of her. Her warm brown eyes have always spelled out her thoughts, even before she gathered the courage to say the right words.
