Omega-3 fatty acid DHA kills human lung cancer cells, at 60 μM. According to my calculations, that level can be easily achieved with fish oil supplementation.

DHA does this by inhibiting mTOR

Myths of exercise.

There are quite a few.

Perhaps the most pernicious is that you're overweight because you don't exercise enough.
Exercise makes you hungry, so you're likely to eat more if you exercise more.

Plus it's trivially easy to eat more calories than you burn, if you eat the modern diet.
Exercise doesn't burn as many calories as people think either.

You've got to run 5 miles to burn 500 calories.

How to maintain good insulin sensitivity: make sure you never have a full tank of glycogen.

Glycogen depletion immediately increases insulin sensitivity.
You do that through exercise and eating fewer carbs.

Resistance training decreases muscle glycogen, and it takes a long time to refill if you don't eat a lot of carbs.

Maybe even indefinitely if you eat none.
The solution to insulin resistance is simple.

A new thread about a series of papers in legitimate scientific journals, all from the same author.
These papers have all been peer-reviewed, but no editor or peer reviewer noticed a huge problem.

Let's start with the most recent paper of this set that I could find.
Here it is:

It is about "YXQ-EQ" that can inhibit lung cancer cells.
At first glance that sounds amazing. And although it was not published in a grand journal, some of the authors are from @Harvard, @BrighamResearch, and @DanaFarber - so it must be excellent research, right?

There are currently 17M Americans with #cancer.
41% of us will get some form of cancer in our lifetimes.
That's nearly half of us.
Everyone knows someone with cancer.
So we have to be vigilant and we have to take care of ourselves--lower that stress, first and foremost.

In late-August of 2010, my dear first-cousin was diagnosed with inoperable, non-curable, small-cell lung #cancer. He and I were raised like #siblings and cared for one another as brother and sister, a very close-knit family.
My #cousin was an amazing man, husband, and father to twin boys; who were only 14 when he died in September 2017. He died at his home, surrounded by his family and friends…just how he’d wished.
