Tonight: A bit of movement in the Rick Gates matter in D.C.: Joint motion to begin his pre-sentence report filed. Gates has continued to cooperate and he's a potential witness in 2 upcoming trials: US v Gregory Craig (Aug 12) + US v Stone (Nov 5). He's ready to be sentenced.

Neatly tucked into this brief filing, a reminder: Gates has been advised by the District Attorney’s Office in New York that he'll be called to testify in the trial of Paul Manafort "at some point in 2020."

Recall: Craig is former President Barack Obama’s White House counsel and he was charged w/ lying to officials about Ukrainian lobbying w/Manafort.

Update: Judge Amy Berman Jackson in DC has granted the motion and ordered that a final sentencing report be filed on Nov 15.
