Perhaps I’m wrong here but I’d really like to see people receive this sort of answer more when they ask questions premised in a sort of cowardly ignorance.
The president is a white supremacist who deliberately foments violence, and enjoys broad enthusiastic support from his party

This is observable

I’m sure it challenges journalistic precedent to ask a question premised in this fact, but it doesn’t threaten journalistic integrity
I suppose you could say that parts of the statement in the preceding tweet are unknowable, but only within some Descartian theoretical space where only one’s thoughts are knowable and nothing can be known with certainty.

It’s as plain as the orange on his face.

If I see this I’m calling a potential active shooter in to 911 as I drive very quickly away..
If you don’t want 911 called on you as a likely mass shooter don’t go into a fucking Smashburger with a fucking massacre kit.

Terror is the only purpose.
The most likely reason by far to bring all those guns into a public space is to kill as many people as you have rounds. That has to be the assumption.
