The New York Times: Our colleges have become weak-minded, relying on intellectually flabby phrases parsed for political correctness.

Also the NYT: President Trump‘s racially-infused rhetoric contains many factually unverified truth-oopsies. But do “heartland” voters care?
I’m not even gonna screencap that bullshit.
But suffice to say I can’t think of any prominent institution in the country more clearly terrified of engaging vigorous clear minded debate using straightforward terms than the New York Times.
When Nazis invade our cities our president and the police take their side. Colleges are not our problem.

GOP response to white supremacist terror is analogous to a scenario in which Bush received the report and gave each terrorist an airplane
More, it's analogous to a scenario in which Bush received the report, gave each terrorist an airplane, and then ordered all activities ceased on federal task forces already deployed to monitor and combat the threat.
More, it's analogous to a scenario in which Bush received the report, gave each terrorist an airplane, ordered all counter-activities ceased, and looked the other way for decades after a report came out clearly demonstrating that terror cells were infiltrating law enforcement.

Perhaps I’m wrong here but I’d really like to see people receive this sort of answer more when they ask questions premised in a sort of cowardly ignorance.
The president is a white supremacist who deliberately foments violence, and enjoys broad enthusiastic support from his party

This is observable

I’m sure it challenges journalistic precedent to ask a question premised in this fact, but it doesn’t threaten journalistic integrity
I suppose you could say that parts of the statement in the preceding tweet are unknowable, but only within some Descartian theoretical space where only one’s thoughts are knowable and nothing can be known with certainty.

It’s as plain as the orange on his face.

If I see this I’m calling a potential active shooter in to 911 as I drive very quickly away..
If you don’t want 911 called on you as a likely mass shooter don’t go into a fucking Smashburger with a fucking massacre kit.

Terror is the only purpose.
The most likely reason by far to bring all those guns into a public space is to kill as many people as you have rounds. That has to be the assumption.

New York Times Publisher Arthur Sulzberger kind of has a point when he says that it “crosses a dangerous line” for President Trump to accuse his paper of “a virtual act of treason” because it’s a crime “so grave it is punishable by death.”
On the same grounds, Sulzberger should probably evaluate what’s going into his own paper.
