Hankcon AU where Connor is a living statue and Hank is so lonely that when he sits down in the park to have lunch, he doesn't realize the statue right next to him is a street performer and ends up pouring his heart out to him while Connor poses silently and falls in love

Connor's buddy Markus busks not too far away and he keeps shooting looks over at them and laughing. Gestures to Connor to silently ask if he wants him to come shoo away this old guy who's intruding, Connor very subtly glaring at Markus telling him /don't you dare/

Hank starts coming by a couple times a week, which is amazing, because Connor loves it when he talks to him!! But it's also horrible because Connor has to always make sure there's nothing different about his pose and that the hat he collects tips in isn't visible

And then it gets to the point where Connor realizes that, wait, Hank actually is cutting into his earnings in a major way, he's only bringing in a fraction of what he used to; how is he supposed to feed himself and pay rent

He wants to do nothing but stand there all day and let this sad, lovely old man talk to him, but other people don't approach when Hank is there. And if Hank were to spot anyone tipping Connor then he might realize he's been making a fool of himself all this time

Connor agonizes over what he should do. Let things continue as they are and risk starving? Move to a different location and never have Hank sit and talk with him again?

Reveal himself to Hank after all this time? The last option is petrifying.
