/Things can b morally = but not practically so. For instance, the El Paso & Dayton massacres are equally morally depraved. But El Paso was clearly driven by political & racist motivation; Dayton wasn't. So the fact that the Dayton shooter was a professed leftist means nothing...
/ There is no evidence that the killer in Dayton targeted people based on his politics, let alone his few tweets in support of anti-fascist activity and against racism. If he were acting on those politics he wouldn't have shot up a mostly black crowd...
/ To claim he was a "leftist terrorist" suggests his leftism was a driver 4 the crime & there is literally no evidence for that. He was a "terrorist," in the sense of seeking to sow fear and terror, but not in the political sense of doing this to further a cause or ideology...
/ And there are NO examples of antifa supporters or leftists encouraging murder and mass shootings of anyone, unlike right wing and white supremacists who discuss this stuff on web boards and Gab all the time...and whose entire politic leads inevitably to murder
/ There is simply no way to rationally blame both the left and right for political terrorism in this country as if they were equivalent. They aren't. There have been literally hundreds of right wing cases involving abortion clinics, family planning centers, black churches...
/ ... liberal white churches, shopping centers, you name it...hundreds of cases; not 1 or 2..hundreds going back 20 years. Political terrorism in America is a right wing thing. Own it...
