This basically eliminates anyone having visited a hospital and not paid the $120,000 they charge for a bandaid on time
Having to train USCIS employees to objectively analyze a credit report is BULLSHIT.

If you are a brilliant brown scientist immigrant on a visa and you get shot by a white supremacist at a Walmart, and you are forced to be on disability for 2 years because the bullet took out your spleen: your green card application could be rejected
2/If you are a brown immigrant VETERAN:
honorably discharged, suffering from PTSD, addicted to pain pills.

after losing your house, your partner and your mind, you seek local/state help to get back on your feet:

This administration may deny you your citizenship application
3/ However
If you are white, with zero specialized skills, and your face has that constant " I am looking directly into the sun" look, you may get an Einstein visa, bring your sister and your useless parents using chain migration and most likely Marry and orange man with VD

Sorry for the caps but I just saw a Fox Business News analysts, on the trading floor on Wall Street, saying that we collected $40 billion from china tarrifs and that makes up for the farms bailout.

If you don't pay it in the price of the goods, the company takes the cost from somewhere else, lets say work hours, less workplace safety, or replacing packaging with asbestos. Still on my out

The Trump public charge rule on its face is an elitist push to tell immigrants that they must achieve the American dream somewhere else before they can come here.

It favors wealth over family in determining who can come and stay here.
It punishes immigrants for the low-wages their employers pay & is license to discriminate against ppl w/disabilities/health conditions.

This is VAST departure from status quo. Public charge currently means institutionalization at gov's expense or subsisting on public cash assist

The new rule "redefines the term 'public charge' to mean an alien who receives one or more designated public benefits for more than 12 months in the aggregate within any 36-month period (such that, for instance, receipt of two benefits in one month counts as two months)."
New definition of “public benefit” to include:

-cash benefits for income maintenance
-SNAP
-most forms of Medicaid
-Sec 8 Housing Assistance (Housing Choice Voucher)
-Sec 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance
-certain other forms of subsidized housing

Trump’s new proposed rule would dramatically weaken the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), by gutting a wonky-sounding but vital provision called “broad-based categorical eligibility.”

Warren's plan retains the distinctively closed border we have now--in which border apprehensions are a fraction of what they were a generation ago--but her plan would bring order to a situation that has devolved into chaos.

Let's start with the crossings themselves. /1
Since the Secure Fence Act of 2006 and related enhancements, Southwest border apprehensions have been less than half the average from the 1980s-early 2000s. Go to CBP's website, and they'll show you the first chart, which starts at 2014, but that conceals the historical trend. /2
As @NickMiroff thoroughly reported last October, border crossings are fundamentally different than they were in the past. More than half of the arrests are migrant families or unaccompanied minors. They then file for asylum and go into the backlog. /3 washingtonpost.com/graphics/2018/…

Here’s the hidden agenda: back door pre-existing condition repeal.

How?: ... Follow if interested. 1/
Any state allows for a Trumpcare plan— plans which Trump approved that allow insurers to charge as much as they want and cover what they want and who they want.

Your state prohibits them. But because they can be sold “across state lines”, it doesn’t matter. 2/
As soon as that happens, plans that cover pre-existing conditions have to charge more as some healthier people choose the non-compliant plans.

Many of those healthier people, of course, don’t remain healthy forever and aren’t covered for what they think they are. 3/

New guidance from HHS and the Treasury Department on 1332 waivers: s3.amazonaws.com/public-inspect… Still reading the overview section, but this doesn't instill much confidence:
So the Administration is going to be much more likely to approve a state's 1332 waiver that calls for more STLDI plans than one that calls for Medicaid buy-in. The gaping holes in STLDI coverage are apparently not a concern.
To be clear, "reduce prices for consumers" is referring ONLY to the premiums people pay each month. The costs people face *when they get sick* are invariably higher when states don't have strong insurance regulations.
