Fielded a couple calls from friends who are nearing the end of their patience with the Army. Over-worked, under-grade, and with no end in sight. All for Sisyphean efforts to no real end that do little to actually increase readiness, dancing to the tune of out of touch leaders.
Told them what I always do. Hang in there, we will outlast. Their fear is that we will become that which we dislike...FGOs who have given up, caved to the system.

And yeah, TBH, that's my fear as well.

Why do we break our best talent (not me) & force them out?
This is what boggles my mind. The Army could be such an amazing institution, and sometimes is. But we fight these uphill battles just to try to create an environment where we have ready soldiers who want to be a part of the organization - just to try to take care of soldiers
