if menus were written like some creator descriptions I see, it'd be like

Cheeseburger $12
Predictable, I know. Not my best work and there are better places to go for a burger. I messed up the patty and I don't know what I'm doing. Please tolerate the shoddy sauce. Sorry. Sorry.
have pride in your work and promote it with confidence, especially if you want people to pay money for it!!
if a chef responded to a compliment like some creators I see, it'd be like

"you ate my cheeseburger? I'm so sorry you had to choke that down. I made a massive mistake when putting together the patty but you probably noticed"
promote with the kind of confidence your tiny local restaurants have! You have the best cheeseburger in town!!
I'm saying all this because I used to be too self-deprecating until I thought, "I would never want to eat food that's advertised to me like this." Thinking of how menus are written legit helps me a lot and I hope it helps you too 👍🍔
