Unbelievable. Thank you. @BBCr4today actually have someone on right now explaining Relative Risk vs Absolute risk. So they actually do have someone in the building who understands statistics!

I have found that Relative Risk is one of the most confusing concepts for non-scientific folk. Plenty of really smart people just don’t understand it. We need this kind of commentary with ALL mainstream media reporting of scientific results.

Some fantastic suggestions. Remember I’m not looking for “good in their day”, or “critically acclaimed,” but rather movies that you personally regard every scene as flawless and wouldn’t change a thing.
By that metric, I have to exclude Singin’ In The Rain, a timeless classic that’s dragged down by the cringeworthy “Beautiful Girl” scene.

The so-called "experts" say that drinking bleach is harmful. I think the people in this country have had enough of experts.
There may be some short-term pain (and vomiting), but we must respect the will of the people who voted to drink bleach (after we told them it would be delicious and healthy).

In 2018, Dems won the governorship (yay!) by 29,227 votes. 1.1% margin.

In 2019, GOP won state Supreme Court race by 5,981 votes. 0.5% margin.

It'll be CLOSE.

The malleability of US public opinion on trade is something I first noticed years ago (and briefly discussed in this paper from 2011: cato.org/publications/f…). Trade polls have long fluctuated depending on politics, rhetoric & the economy. /3

There are a lot of prominent people, who claim to be principled anti-war activists, who led us to believe that Hillary was the *real* threat, that should be absolutely ashamed to show their faces right now. Yet they're all pretending like it never happened.
None of this is surprising if you were paying attention & weren't looking to confirm your biases that #actually Trump might not be so bad (not as bad as Killary). Most of us saw the threat in real time & called it out. It wasn't subtle.
It's just so incredibly frustrating bc it was all so predictable. You demanded that every journalist & pundit who predicted the election results incorrectly be disgraced; yet this was infinitely more consequential. And yet, you've taken zero responsibility for your actions.

Why not just go speak to the Grand Jury? Clearly, it's not about avoiding spending more time talking about the investigation and your experience...
