(Thread) Trump & his Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

They’re probably not enforceable, but they tell us a lot about Trump.

Last year Kellyanne Conway confirmed that “everyone” in the West Wing signs NDAs politico.com/story/2018/08/…

We saw Omarosa's, so we know what they contain.
1/ Omarosa’s NDA contains a non-disparagement clause, requiring her to promise that during the term of service “and at all times hereafter” she won't demean or disparage publicly, in any manner, Trump, Pence, or any members of their families.

2/ So, the contract forbids a citizen, for the rest of her life, from criticizing the president, the vice president, and their families.

This obviously poses a First Amendment problem.

Trump (and the entire Trump-FOx-GOP) is all confused about the First Amendment.

When FDR took office in 1933, the U.S. was in the throes of the Great Depression.

Income inequality was like today, but with big differences.
1/ There was no social security.
There was no 40 hour workweek.
There was no minimum wage.
Workers who were injured were left to starve.
After a lifetime of subsistence wages, workers (and wounded soldiers who returned from war) died in poverty.

Things were bad.
2/ There were no laws against insider trading so people got rich by manipulating the market. thebalance.com/what-is-inside…

The transition from the top image to the lower image was good thing, bringing us close to the ideal of liberal democracy.

Hey guys! I wanted to give you an update on some dog stuff. As you may know, a few of our dogs will be retiring to pet life in the next few months. We make decisions for each dog individually based on their personality and athleticism.
This winter, a lovely, outdoorsy family here in Wisconsin reached out to me. The dad has a long history with mushing, but he’s been waiting for the right time to get his own dogs. It’s something he wants to share with his kids.
They asked if we had young dogs who love running and would do well on a recreational team, for adventuring in the northwoods, camping, and shorter races.

#History/#Art thread – From my recent trip to Madurai/Tirunelveli. On Jain sites (some with a rich history dating back to at least the 3rd cent. BCE), early Pandyan rock-cut cave temples (7th-8th cent. CE) & the amazing Vettuvan koil.

Before I start on the places, the history around all this is fascinating & splits opinion. Is it apt to call the script Tamili/Tamil Brahmi? Did it develop independently in the Tamil country/come with the Jain monks from the north? Were 8,000 Jains actually impaled in Madurai?>

1. There’s a damn fine piece at Powerline.com yesterday about NY Times executives whining about President Trump’s “anti-press rhetoric” after their meeting with him on 20 July.
2. First of all, after observing the incessant anti-Trump messages in the legacy media (and especially the NY Times) over the past 2+ years, I don’t think the president could have possibly been harsh enough with those execs! What do you think?
3. Like other Leftists, Muslim jihadis, North Koreans, Maduro, Castro and so on, we need to remember that the American legacy media need to be bloodied into complete submission.

Simple way to say, human #History is millions of years old, and measured in the manner of Chaturyuga (4 main yugas/cycles). In due time, the Races of mankind (and/or, genetic make-up) gets diluted, lost, assembled/reassembled, out-mixing (w/other species), unregulated mixing,
etc. & via such phenomena in successive ages. Truly unfathomable to understand, Sat Yuga was of dominant Brahmanas/Rishis (a single homogeneous racial purity/ 12 strand+ DNA), & divisions arose in Treta- 6 main races & various sub-races, interbreeding w/other species & so forth.
