Pros of starting with Blue Lions:
-Very character focused, Dimitri is great
-Highly emotionally charged
-Dimitri

Cons:
-You don't find out what's going on with the war or the continent
-You spend all the other routes stressed tf out about Dimitri

Pros of starting with Golden Deer:
-Lore-focused
-You find out about the history of the world and Rhea's perspective right off the bat
-Probably the most "complete" route, story is GREAT

Cons:
-No insight into why Edelgard and Dimitri are this way
-Brutal as fuck if u love them

Pros of starting with Black Eagles:
-Politics-focused
-You learn what happened to Edelgard and get way more insight into her drive and emotions
-Feels like a personal uphill struggle

Cons:
-It's gonna feel terrible going through the other routes when your heart is with Edelgard

Personally I think I would recommend either going Golden Deer -> Blue Lions -> Black Eagles or Black Eagles -> Blue Lions -> Golden Deer, just bc the progression feels a bit more natural that way? While I love Blue Lions it doesn't actually go into what's going on in the plot

also i did blue lions first and have spent every waking moment worrying about dimitri and dedue send help
