If you are a recent graduate, currently serving Nigeria (NYSC) or have graduated in the last 3 years and still job hunting I’ve got some great new for you. RT this and check back tomorrow.
For a lot of graduating students, life after graduation is one of the topmost worries they have. The significant rise in graduate unemployment adds to this pressing worry. The job market is highly competitive & a lot of graduates cannot seem to get a graduate job upon graduation.
Most employers look for skills, great attitude and commercial awareness in their new hires. Unfortunately, a lot of graduating students are not ready for the world of works, partly because they don’t even know what it entails and what skills they need to succeed.
Graduates who want to get the best jobs need to distinguish themselves, first, by understanding what companies and employers are looking for, then, positioning themselves for such opportunities. Basically, they need to stand out in the job market.
It is important to identify the core skills needed to succeed as a fresh graduate. I call these transferable skills. Transferable, because they can be used in any industry.
Skills YOU NEED:
•Initiative/Self-Motivation
•Planning/Organising
•Flexibility/Adaptability
•Time Management
•Research Skills
•Leadership skills
•Creativity
•Problem Solving
•Using Technology (IT)
•Managing Projects
•Developing Business
•Presentation Skills, etc....

I noted yesterday that State Governments will do a lot of good by giving grants and loans to small businesses. 100k here, 500k there, another 2.5million there and they’d be lifting thousands out of joblessness because one person that gets a grant can employ another 5/10 people.
Personally, I have set aside N500,000 to disburse as loans for 5 young people based on merit and business prospects.

The goal is to reduce unemployment rate and create wealth for young entrepreneurs.
The FG/State Governments will not solve all the problems. Those of us who have very little can also solve some problems in our corner of the country.

We can also advise State Governments and Commissioners on very practical policy ideas per job creation when asked.
To get a loan of N100,000 for 7 months, you must already have a registered business. You must have a traceable address and will need to provide:
•A 3 months bank statement
•National ID card, PVC, International passport or Driver’s license (Any 2 of these is fine)
•2 Guarantors who must be civil servants above grade level 10..

•Interest rate is 9.9% for 7 months and you will need to make a monthly repayment of N15,700 each month for 7 months.

•As noted earlier, your business must be a registered business.
I am interested in folks who already have registered businesses in these areas:

1. Freelance Graphics Designer or Websites Developer
2. Home Laundry Pickup and Delivery
3. Small Chops Vendor/ Catering Consultant
4. Office Lunch Delivery
5. Uber/Bolt Drivers/Potential Drivers
Uber/Bolt Drivers must be registered with Uber or Bold and evidence must be provided. Perhaps you need to buy a car or fix your car, we can discuss that.
Interested? Post flyers or pictures of your business, location, website or other useful information below. I will reach out to you myself.
Have a pleasant Sunday everyone!
Now we have N1,000,000 to disburse as loans to young folks. That’s N100,000 for 10 young people. Donor wants to remain anonymous.
I can confirm receiving £1,000 promised by Mr Anon towards this noble cause. Progress 💪🏾
