Been rewatching all the condensed tape from week one in the NFL. Here is what I found:
Cardinals vs Lions
Good:
✅ Kenny Golladay opportunities
✅ Larry Fitzgerald efficiency
✅ T.J Hockenson production
✅ Kyler Murray rushing prowess
✅ Christian Kirk open field moves
✅ David Johnson diverse usage
✅ Cardinals offensive snap totals
The Bad:
⚠️Kyler Murray missed throws
⚠️ Kyler Murray batted passes (4 batdowns)
⚠️ Kerryon Johnson touch share
⚠️ Cardinals TE usage
⚠️ Marvin Jones targets
The Ugly:
❌ Jamal Agnew's return duties
❌ Lions 2nd half pass rush (tired?)
❌ Trumaine Brock missed INT
❌ Lions 2nd half offensive play calling (6 carries for Kerryon)
Saints vs Texans
The Good:
✅ DeAndre Hopkins production/volume
✅ DeShaun Watson pocket presence
✅ Duke Johnson usage
✅ Carlos Hyde efficiency/usage
✅ Kenny Stills production
✅ Michael Thomas volume
✅ Tedd Ginn volume
The Bad:
⚠️ Will Fuller volume/opportunities
The Ugly:
❌ Jared Cook target share (3 targets)
Patriots vs Steelers
Good:
✅ Patriots O Line (Kept pocket clean)
✅ Tom Brady production (341Y 3TD)
✅ Patriots D (3PT, T/O + DB play)
✅ Philip Dorsett production (95Y 2TD)
✅ Julian Edelman volume
✅ Josh Gordon efficiency
✅ James Connor pass usage
✅ Donte Moncrief volume
The Bad:
⚠️ Sony Michel touch ratio + production
⚠️ Ben Roethlisberger efficiency
⚠️ James Connor production
The Ugly
❌ Steelers D preparation
❌ Donte Moncrief efficiency + production
Raiders vs Broncos
Good:
✅ Raiders O Line (POA + clean pocket)
✅ Darren Waller usage + efficiency
✅ Josh Jacobs usage + production
✅ Tyrell Williams usage + production
✅ Derek Carr efficiency + accuracy
✅ Courtland Sutton efficiency
✅ Raiders front 7 (Won the trenches)
Bad:
⚠️ Joe Flacco conservatism + accuracy
⚠️ E. Sanders usage (garbage 🕐 pts)
Ugly
❌ Broncos pass rush (non-existent)
Chargers vs Colts
Good
✅ Austin Ekeler usage + production
✅ T.Y Hilton volume + RZ usage
✅ Colts run blocking
✅ Jacoby Brissett IQ + accuracy
✅ Devin Funchess/Deion Cain efficiency
✅ Marlon Mack production + VOLUME
✅ Keenan Allen volume + production
Ekeler was effective inside, outside, power run, RZ usage and checkdowns. Showed terrific contact balance on long scoring TD and had a pair of big runs in OT to win it. Both inside. He was a cog for this offense. Every bit as important as Keenan
Keenan Allen made plays at all levels. Made two nice catches ~25 yards downfield which included the one for a TD. Also made a terrific grab in OT on an under thrown ball to get them to midfield
About half of Justin Jacksons yardage came from a 24 yard run on a busted play. Gifted.
Hilton had a key contested drop at the goalline on a deep pass.
Brissett played fantastic. Smart with the football, pushed the ball downfield, made accurate throws in tight windows (Ex. called back touchdown to Eric Ebron)
Bad
⚠️ Mike Williams volume
⚠️ Eric Ebron usage/volume
⚠️ Hunter Henry volume
⚠️ Devin Funchess usage/volume
Ugly
❌ Adam Vinatieri 2 missed FG + XP cost the Colts this game
Philip Rivers INT was carless. RZ throw in traffic. Thrown too low in the back of the endzone to Keenan Allen?
Chargers front 7 is a good pass rushing unit. Colts exposed their run support.
Panthers vs Rams
Good:
✅ Christian McCaffrey usage + volume + production
✅ Malcolm Brown efficiency
✅ Robert Woods volume + production
Malcolm Brown was very efficient with his touches. As I predicted he has a role in this offense. Runner who always falls forwards and is a pile pusher. Great 2nd and 3rd effort. Was the top Rams RB this week. Skillset similar to young CJ Anderson.
Bad
⚠️ Curtis Samuel volume
⚠️ Cam Newton efficiency + production
⚠️ Greg Olsen usage + volume
⚠️ Todd Gurley usage
⚠️ Brandin Cooks volume
Newton continues to show ball placement on throws. Lot's of balls sailed on him. Made a terrible turnover on a errant pass behind LOS.
Gurley's longest run was gifted. Wasn't touched and a heads up audible down to a run by Goff. Changed play to run right, opposite of the blitzing DB.

He did finish the game running strong to close out the game for a W
Jaguars vs Chiefs
Good:
✅ Sammy Watkins production + efficiency
✅ DJ Chark efficiency + production
✅ Travis Kelce volume
✅ Leonard Fournette usage
✅ Patrick Mahomes production
DJ Chark showed great deep ball skills. His touchdown was from a deep pass and well contested. Still came down with it. Was the most impressive JAX receicer by far.

DeDe Westbrook TD was in garbage time + wide open
Sammy Watkins showed exceptional open field moves. Turning routine routes into homerun TDs. He beat Jalen Ramsey on his goalline TD.
Sammy Watkins second TD was blown coverage + wide open. Stat padding.
Gardner Mindshew showed good pocket elusiveness and ball placement.
Bad:
⚠️ Damien Williams usage/efficiency
⚠️ Darwin Thompson usage
Ugly:
❌ Jaguars receiving corp production (sans DJ Chark)
❌ Jaguars D (Poor tackling, discipline in secondary, inconsistent pressure)
Jets vs Bills
Good:
✅ Le'veon Bell volume + usage
✅ Cole Beasley volume
✅ Jamison Crowder volume + production
✅ Devin Singletary usage
✅ Bills D
✅ Josh Allen rushing ability
Jamison Crowder racked up volume in the 2nd half. Accounting for ~14 targets and was a cog in moving the chains for the Jets. Used primarily as a safety net within 10 yards of LOS. Offers the safest floor in the Jets receiving corp.
Like Crowder, Cole Beasley was also the cog in the Bills offense. Working the underneath and putting the offense in favourable down and distance. His small catch radius (small stature) is going to be an issue from time to time with Josh Allens inconsistent ball placement.
Josh Allens first INT was a tipped ball off Beasley's hands.
Devin Singletary was the cog on the Bills first GD drive in the 4th quarter. Once they involved him in the third wuarter, he was a difference maker. Noticeably quicker than most on the field. He's going to get work this year.
Bad:
⚠️ Frank Gore production
⚠️ Bills playcalling
⚠️ Cole Beasley drops
⚠️ Zay Jones usage
⚠️ Robby Anderson usage
⚠️ Sam Darnold downfield throws
Ugly
❌ Josh Allen carelessness
Josh Allen had a wildly inconsistent at times. He started out poised, making plays off his first and second reads, throwing the ball on a line, with zip.
He was extremely careless with the ball. Fumbling the ball twice: one on a poorly protected ball during a sack and the other on taking a snap behind center.
Allen also had a bad interception that was luckily called back. Forcing a throw that wasn't there downfield. His second INT was a batted pass at the LOS. Taking a poor angle on his throw.
Also threw a deep pass that landed in S Marcus Maye's lap but was luckily dropped. Foolish decisions. Bills defense bailed out OC Brian Daboll and Josh Allen.
