I recall a time when I desperately needed to change jobs, and was working in a remote location within the country. I had to look into my network of relationships to identify who to reach out to. #HRwithEM #Job #Business #Opportunities

I immediately launched an aggressive campaign to reach out not only to those who were very close but also those who were indirectly connected to me.

This would ensure that you are building strategic relationships that would help your cause of job/business opportunities.

As a professional, @LinkedIn is a very good platform to seek out the type of connections that would help you land that #job or #business #opportunities.

Dont just send a dry message. Customise your connection request to show the value you would bring.

3. Be willing to accept three to four degrees of separation.

There are at times when you would have to go through three or four connections to reach the right person who would be in a position to assist with either the #job or #business #opportunities. #HRwithEM

Referrals are powerful when it comes to landing a job or business opportunity, hence the need to treat every relationship with dignity as you never can tell which one would be the key to the door of your potential breakthrough. #HRwithEM #Job #Business #Opportunities

4. Volunteer for free and offer trial or sample versions of your solution.

Organisations that offer trial versions of their solution do this for a purpose - to wet your appetite and make you long for more.

Offering a trial version of your solution or volunteering your skill(s) for free positions you better than one whose potential has not been evaluated. Clients/Employeers would find it easy to trust your efficacy/potential.

5. Create and share content to attract the right people (clients/employers/recruiters).

When you consistently share content in your field, it would draw attention to you leading to clients and organisations wanting to do business with or hire you.
