Things I’ve used to start a new company:

- Discord instead of Slack
- Google domains
- Still using G-Suite
- Still using Github
- More Node & TypeScript vs Python
- Typeform is amazing!
- Heavy google docs users
- Github static pages for a quick landing page
- Avoid g-hangouts
I find the trends of these things fairly interesting. 10 years ago this list was completely different.
Honorable mention to Loom - love taking quick videos of bugs, build issues, quick demos of a feature being completed for the team. Completely async. You don’t have to record yourself.

I didn’t think I’d use it but a contractor showed me how useful it could be.
List 10 years ago:
- Amazon payments vs Stripe
- Namecheap
- Landing page on Rackspace cloud
- Python / JS / SQL
- Low Google docs usage
- Hipchat
- We hosted git for a bit -> Github
- Wufoo for surveys
- Couldn’t really do video chat 😂
- Dropbox for files like docxs
- G-suite

The single best productivity hack I am aware of is just writing a list of things to do tomorrow the night before, not checking your email first thing when you wake up, and doing the list. Repeat.
Oh and treat yo self if you finish the list.
Here's what I do, share yours:
1. I use Trello & make a task where the name is a date
2. I make a checklist in it of no more than 6 things.
3. I order by sched
4. I frequently view it throughout the day as a reminder
5. If I don't finish something, it doesn't carry over

Early versions of products have a rapidly growing backlog as soon as you get through the previous one. Once the product starts nearing the minimum set of features to satisfy one narrow use-case, a new minimum set forms around a different but overlapping set of use-cases.
As such, every decision you make moving forward is a strategic one. It would be easy to go down a backlog based on voting preferences from users. But, now each decision has to considered in terms of what the product ultimately wants to solve amongst a lot of options.
Do you want to be fast? Do you want to solve the problem vertically? Do you need all the bells & whistles? What corners can you cut for now to sharply attack the problem? Do seek new users or bunker down & focus on fewer, retained users? Does the UI need to be excellent?

The link is made to look like a legit Discord link--it's not. It has Discord's embed forged, and if you read the link closely, it's not "discord dot gg" as Discord uses; rather, it's "discord gg dot ga". This is meant to trip you up into clicking.

Until now, the only SEO space where AMP was kind of "mandatory" was on news: if you want to appear on the "Top stories" box, you kind of need to have your articles to use AMP. You can appear there withouth AMP, but you don't get the same visual benefits #AMP #SEO .
Now Google is bringing "Stories" (like Instagram Stories, Snapchat Stories, etc.) to search results. They just announced it at #ampconf (see ) #AMP #SEO
This means that for certain kind of queries (by now: travel, and later also gaming, movies, tv and fashion) the first result will get another "special box" called "Visual Stories" where you can only appear using not only AMP, but AMP stories #AMP #SEO

BREAKING: Potential hijack underway. ThousandEyes detected intermittent availability issues to Google services from some locations. Traffic to certain Google destinations appears to be routed through an ISP in Russia & black-holed at a China Telecom gateway router.

New #PA Congressional map is pretty much the best one Democrats could have hoped for. At least 2 pickups in neutral environment, likely ability to win 11 in current D+6 environment. Post coming
PA redraw creates map that is almost entirely drawn from scratch. Huge shifts from 2016 plan all over the place. Dems favored to win 9 seats there in almost any national environment.
(big swings mostly from renumbering, but aggregate differences are clear)
