7 reasons why complementarians never mention the Four Gospels in their argument for male superiority.
1. Mary the mother of Jesus. The Angel Gabriel came directly to Mary without going to her daddy or to her fiancé. Mary argued with the angel. Then Mary herself decided to do this.
2. Anna, the prophetess. Praised God and proclaimed to all who would listen that this child Jesus would bring about redemption.
3. The Samaritan woman. Her people were awaiting the Messiah thinking he would come to them. He did and the Samaritan woman was the first one he told.
4. Mary of Bethany, disciple. She sat at Jesus’ feet learning alongside the other disciples.
5. Mary of Bethany, disciple. Jesus called for her when he was at the tomb before he raised Lazarus. He wanted her to witness the resurrection.
6. Gentile woman, the woman who begged for a crumb. Jesus told her that he had come to the Jews first, then to the Gentiles which included her.
7. Mary at the tomb. This second Adam named her when he said “Mary.” The second Eve. He told her to go and tell the men how to find him.
