1. The lambasting of @JulianCastro for his "did you forget" comment to @JoeBiden last night is a strong sign of a media narrative starting to form, one just as bad as "Al Gore is a liar" from 2000.

Castro's words were PERFECTLY reasonable, while not accurate. He believed....
@JulianCastro @JoeBiden 2...Biden was contradicting himself, which he was not (it was a much more nuanced answer than Castro was giving credit for. Castro was wrong.) HOWEVER, saying "did you forget what you said two minutes ago?" is a perfectly reasonable thing for someone to say to another person....

So why is it wrong to say it to Biden? Because a "Biden is demented" slur is starting to sneak its way into MSM, pushed originally, as always, by Fox and conserv media....

On the other hand, since the evil conservative bubble is starting to push that line, it wa jumped on as "Oh HO! He is insulting Biden for his age!" Do not be fooled. @JulianCastro @JoeBiden 6...feed this ugly narrative. So, Castro did nothing wrong, Biden did nothing wrong. But, you know who is? Media who had this slur implanted in their heads (Biden could be demented!) and now will "raise the question" anytime Biden speaks like Biden has always spoken.

1. Important to get on intel whistleblower law: If IG found a WB complaint was NOT credible or urgent, WB can independently go to Congress. No one EVER envisioned a DCI would break the law and refuse to turn over a complaint deemed credible and urgent...
2...because of that, there is no provision in the law allowing the whistleblower to go to Congress, because the complaint was found to be credible. The idea that the DNI would just blithely break the law was never considered....
3...so we have a situation where, if the IG found the complaint to be insignificant and not credible, the whistleblower could notify congress. But because it was found to be credible and urgent, the whistleblower can't do so because....

This follows on the heels of the community being targeted by preachers who have twice disrupted the Village and a series of letters, emails, and graffiti markings that appear to be motivated by, or linked to, Neo-Nazi ideology targeting community members and businesses.
I have been in ongoing contact with senior staff at the Toronto Police Service regarding these incidents and know that they are working diligently to find those responsible for these acts of vandalism and hate.

After college, my first job was for an anti-nuke project run by Alan Cranston, a retired 4-term senator from CA who’d been Democratic whip & a presidential primary candidate in ‘84.
Alan, as he insisted on being called, died suddenly on Dec 31, 2000. Though he’d been out of office since ‘92, he was a giant of California politics, and his funeral was a bit of an event. I and my colleague, Zack, worked full-time to help the family organize it.
We tracked which of his senate colleagues planned to attend. In the end, only Joe Biden and John Kerry came. Not Dianne Feinstein or Barbara Boxer. Just two friends who respected Alan for supporting vets while opposing the Vietnam War. Alan and Biden had come in together in ‘68.

Last night, US Border Patrol confirmed that a 7yo Guatemalan girl died in one of their processing centers last week. She was with her dad who asked for help for his daughter who was vomiting...she didn’t receive medical attention until an hour and a half later. #MigrantCaravan
