I'm not worried one bit about socialism becoming the law of the land. Yes, the Dems want to enact socialism but so what? They have wanted to enact socialism for the last 70 years. They have won some issues during that time BUT most of their wins have happened during bad economic
...times. We are not in bad economic times. We are in booming economic times. Socialism doesn't draw many followers during a booming economic time where all sections of the population are doing well.
The Trump economy is helping the lowest section of the population as well as the highest. It's increasing the middle class and decreasing poverty. This is not a good environment for the growth of socialism.
In other words, socialism had it's heyday during the great recession for this generation. It's all downhill for those that want socialism from now until the next bad economic time. Obama screwed up. He wasn't the man for the job. He struck out. He failed. He could have enacted...
Nationwide socialism....he had a filibuster proof Senate, the House and WH. He could have been an FDR type of figure ushering in a new socialist deal. Instead he failed...he concentrated on one thing..healthcare and even there
....he failed. He failed on healthcare because his "master plan" was for Obamacare to fail. They designed obamacare to fail. Obama failed because he swung for the single, not the home run. The left figured that the next hitter would drive the runner home but Hillary struck out.
Th socialist team lost their at bat. Now the Capitalist team is batting and Trump hasn't failed. He and his team are swinging for home runs time after time and connecting more then not. The economy is booming, jobs are plentiful, regulations are lessened.
When people make their own money, they really don't want to give it away. Socialism has less of a pool of people to recruit. There is less incentive for people to adopt it. So, until the next major economic depression, I'm not worried about socialism, not one bit.
The left still thinks it's 2008. They are pushing policies that could have gotten support and been popular in 2008 but this is 2019 and that dog don't hunt. It's always a possibility that people will go crazy and vote for socialism in a booming economy bit it's a small one.
So, be worried if you want. I'll rather enjoy the good times. Bad times will come soon enough. Why borrow worries before their time?
