#Buffy trivia, although they built a cemetery on the backlot for later episodes, earlier episodes where filmed in Rosedale cemetery. It was bought out by, I kid you not, Angelus funeral home in 1993 and is now callee Angelus-Rosedale.

And yes, those pyramid crypts are actually there.

But WHO is there is rather interesting too.

Hattie McDaniel also rests there... she was the fiest African American woman to win an academy award. She played Mammy in Gone With The Wind.

The Mad Monk Rasputin's daughter Maria is among the graves you see Buffy battle.

Dooley Wilson of Casablanca fame is buried there too. What a voice.

And this is actor Willie Fung who played in 125 Hollywood films between 1922 and 1944. He died at 49, so he did this all in 22 years. I am certain there is a book that needs to be written about this man.

Another doctor... George E. Goodfellow rests there.
He treated gunshot wounds at the Gunfight at the O.K Corral.

He is considered the first civilian trauma surgeon and pioneered spinal anaesthetia for gunshots

Actress Theresa Harris also rests in Angelus-Rosedale. She played the maid in "I walked with a Zombie."
Actually, she played over 14 maids during her career. Because racism.
She worked alongside Betty Davis and Ginger Rogers.

Btw Buffy had very few non-white characters.

Now folks, there are a lot of politicians and bankers buried there too. Including the dude they named Burbank after, but that doesn't interest me. *shrugs*

Anyway, the cemetery is at
1831 W. Washington Boulevard, in the West Adams District, south of Los Angeles' Koreatown.

I think it fitting for Dooley Wilson to play us out.
