I know this is quite niche but has anyone else found themselves trapped in the railway museum in Kidderminster desperately trying to find the real trains and it’s like being in that Nicholas Lyndhurst series?
Genuinely, I stopped a man on the platform (who was clearly a 21st century guy) and said “I have an embarrassing question... is this a real train or an exhibit”? Turned out the mainline station is being refurbished so the entrances have been changed

Annoyingly, I don't think that fair usage (the ability to use short sections of copyrighted material for e.g. news reporting) applies to Supreme Court footage. This is where the exception comes from legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/48/…
This is the law governing Supreme Court footage, which appears to give the SC an absolute discretion to make recording "subject to such conditions as the Supreme Court thinks proper with respect to publication" legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1981/49/… (ht @gabrielquotes)
And this is the Supreme Court have said about how the recording can be used, though you might argue the first and second sentences are contradictory as I, for example, would repost footage for the purpose of fair and accurate reporting...supremecourt.uk/live/court-01.…

@NewStatesman My argument is that the Supreme Court needs to follow Scots Court of Session not the High Court to check executive overreach, but the wider context is that there will be consequences for the court truly becoming the constitutional court it has evolved to be. Fascinating times!

Me : No there isn't, it's mostly story telling. Engineers won't have any issue with finance & law, most will know how to build teams and the strategy / leadership parts of business are mostly snake oil ... it's not like engineering.

May announced just before Trump got there that she's stepping down....Trump leaving the UK was immediately followed by the revelation that the Cameron/May gov'ts HID a bunch of Iranian Hezbollah terrorists getting caught with a bomb factory in northwest London...
....a bomb factory where'd they'd stockpiled over 3 tons of ammonium nitrate.

For comparison, the Oklahoma City bombing of the Murrah building, Timothy McVeigh [may he burn in Hell forever, amen!] used 2 tons of ammonium nitrate.

I am in federal court for a pre-trial hearing for Rick Koerber, who was convicted in one of Utah's biggest fraud cases. He was ordered to surrender to U.S. Marshals 15 minutes prior to the hearing on a pre-trial release violation.

Koerber arrived with 4 minutes to spare and told me he had no comment. In court, Judge Warner ordered him brought up. Koerber is now in shackles.
