I just finished reading* @SethAbramson's #proofofcollusion and conclusion of the book, looking forward, predicts a far more optimistic future than the one we are actually living in now.
He concludes that Trump will surely be impeached if the Democrats win the house and that at some point he will fall spectacularly from Grace when Mueller finishes his probe, because duh, this is America and we have laws here.
And while he recognizes the damage that the Trump presidency will have (has already had) on our country, his future projection is ultimately that of "surely, we will survive this intact"
In today's news cycle it is extremely depressing to go back and read something written only a couple years ago and reflect on how far down we have descended.
Hillary did not save us

Pelosi did not save us

As a nation, we watch as our democracy breaks down bit by bit until our country is no longer recognizable as a true democracy. We watch as Americans beg for change and positive action from our government, only to be relentlessly ignored.
No one is coming to save us.
I am interested in reading @SethAbramson's newest book #ProofOfConspiracy which I hope addresses some of his failed projections and explains in greater detail how things have progressed since #proofofcollusion
I also have to give a ringing endorsement of @sarahkendzior and @AndreaChalupa and #gaslitnation. I, for one, appreciate the foreboding and sobering honesty of reality over the wishful thinking that continues to plague our country, even as we are slowly dismantled.
