The first thing we discussed was the importance of focusing on a niche. This helps you build expertise.

2. Think about your clients as people you are helping to move from point A to point B. Point A is where they currently are and Point B is where they want to be.

3. To be a consultant, you have to care about people because you are dealing with people everyday so your work is very client facing.

4. Make sure to create an ideal client profile. Your ideal client profile is what tells you how and where you should be marketing your services.

5. Delight every client so they can willingly give you referrals. Referrals are the life blood of your business especially in the beginning.
