1. Make a great product - this is really important. Even with all the best marketing in the world, you still need a great product. The good thing is, a great product sells itself. ⁣
2. Do not sell products, sell dreams: this is important & is one of Apple’s core strategies. Apple sells a package of dreams, personal experiences & status. How will customers feel after using your product or service? Make sure that feeling shines through your marketing material.
3. Focus on the experience. How do clients feel when they patronize you? Make sure the process is smooth and makes them feel special. How are your products packaged? Do customers feel good when they open your package? A simple tip for SMEs is to put personalised notes in packages
4. Turn your customers into evangelists. Again from the 3rd point above. The biggest advocates for Apple products are actually Apple customers themselves. When you treat people right, they will tell the whole world about your business. ⁣
5. Keep it simple! This one doesn’t need any explanation. What is your marketing message? Simplify it. People always like simple. Nike’s message is simple - “Just do it!” ⁣
