@WinterShorts It kind of is. I mean, in 2001, there was only the very beginnings of an awareness that this was not appropriate. It isn't sweeping it under the rug. It is suggesting that we accept that our leaders are human, living in specific points in time, and mores change.

@WinterShorts I have a photo of my parents from the 1960s, dressed up at a costume party. They are dressed as Asians, with kimonos and so on. Makeup to make them look Chinese. They were not racist. Not at all. No one even thought about cultural appropriation back then. Just like no one... 3/4
