Someone asked me, "What happened before the Big Bang?"

***Thread***
In in a lecture on the no-boundary proposal, Hawking wrote: "Events before the Big Bang are simply not defined, because there's no way one could measure what happened at them...
...Since events before the Big Bang have no observational consequences, one may as well cut them out of the theory, and say that time began at the Big Bang."

They begin their timeline from the big bang - that is the problem. The question is, where did the first atoms come from?
We know that is one of four options;

1- it came from nothing
2- it created itself
3- it was created by something created, or
4- it was created by something uncreated

Let's logically think this through.
1 - It came from nothing: This is highly illogical because you can't have something created out of nothing. If you have nothing and add nothing to it with an extra nothing, you'll get nothing. Purely illogical and unscientific.
Moving on to: 2- It created itself: That too is highly illogical as saying can a mother give birth to herself! It requires existence and non existence at the same time, which is another impossibility.
Is it: 3 - Created by something else that was created? That is also illogical because if you create a chair for example, you don't become the chair. There is a difference between the creator and the creation. This will also open the door of who created the created being/universe.
This would plunge into infinite regression, which means that the universe would never be created since you have an infinite chain of created creators, subject to existing by depending on infinite creators.
So it is 4- It is created by something uncreated. And that is the only logical possibility. If you create sth as big as earth, it means that you are powerful. If you create laws such as gravity, you are knowledgeable.
In Islam, there are many names of our Creator that which we could call Him by; all of them are His Traits. He is Allah [(Arabic lexicon for "The God") and you cannot do mischief with this word; it has no plural (like gods), no feminine term (like goddess (he's not masculine))...
...no derivatives or other words (like godly or godlike, etc.). He is Al Khaaliq (The Creator). He is Al Faatir (He Who creates out of nothing). He is Ar-Rahmaan (The Most Merciful). He is the Most Wise, the Most Just. And to Him belongs maximal perfection...
He is the One that sent Prophets with revelations and miracles - the latter was for the mass witnesses and people at the time to believe the claim of prophethood.
All revelations were either partially/fully lost/corrupted, except for the last that stands the test of time in agreement with modern day science; that is the Quran. It mentions many things about science (the big bang, the expanding universe & much more) but it's a Book of Signs.
Islam encourages questions in order to seek and gain knowledge. This is why embracing it only depends on a sincere enunciation of the testimony of faith: that there is no deity [worthy of worship] except Allah, and that Moses, Jesus & Muhammad are His servants and messengers.
