Whoever is leaking on the Ukraine story has now leaked major new details three times in the last 48 hours, and nearly all the movement on the story is coming from these leaks.
And it's multiple leakers, too, not just one, according to the reporting we've seen. More than one leaker, leaking to multiple different news agencies, every twelve or eighteen hours over the course of two days.
I'm not sure what all to make of it, and one obvious question is whether the leaks are going to continue—and if so, in which direction they're going to lead. But it's extraordinary.
And it's a reminder, at the very least, of two things: This is an incredibly reckless president. And he's been kept afloat because those who could speak directly to his worst acts have, in one way or another, for one reason or another, protected him.
