Yeah, tonight, Bernie Sanders spent his evening at Winthrop University. That's not an HBCU, and it's predominantly-white.

But I guess you could have found that out fairly easily if you tried, Sweetie.
It's cool, tho, that a few Bernie supporters feel fine exploiting HBCUs as an excuse not to engage on LGBTQ issues.
I'm telling y'all, keep pulling this shit and you're gonna wake up the morning after Iowa wondering why you got 3rd or 4th and complaining that process was unfair. We've tried telling you a million times how it looks when you do this shit, and you keep ignoring us.

Very much this.

The sad truth is that I follow a strict “not to be seen or heard” policy when using the restroom. Get in, do your thing, wash, and get out. The longer you’re in a public restroom, the greater likelihood of being attacked.

Result? I rarely use public restrooms.
“But wait, what if you need to use the public restroom?”

Eliminate the need.

“So, you don’t drink liquids in unfamiliar environments?”

Ah, now you’re getting it.

Guess what out-of-state travel entails? Looking up local and state laws on trans rights to see if I’m protected.
Driving back from South Carolina, I got lost on a back country road and blew a half-hidden stop sign. Got pulled over. Terrifying.

Fortunately, the cop was a professional. Not always the case.

And I’m white. Imagine what this is like for trans people of color.

Gather ‘round, kids: lemme tell you of a time long, long, long ago when Rudy Giuliani was the most widely-respected political leader in the country and thought to be the next president.
Giuliani basically walked on water in the years after 9/11. Watching his decline has been surreal.
And to be clear: he’s always been awful on some level, but he did a damn good job pushing that out of the narrative back in the day.

Didn't they every look at what it is?
Medicare has parts A, B. C and D.
Everyone has to buy a plan in addition to what the government provides.
So this is actually exactly #Medicare--for all....
Parts A, B, C and D. Parts A & B are known as Original Medicare. This is the most basic coverage you can get. Parts C & D are available through private health plans. They're both ways to enhance your health care coverage if you want more than what Original Medicare offers.

I've written about #Sanders over the years and like most leftists, thought his politics were an essential prod to others in Congress. But there are details of his political history here that #Bernie should be pushing instead of hiding: like that he was a Harvard fellow.

#Sanders is often presented as s spendthrift, but what propelled #Bernie from 3-term mayor of tiny Burlington into the House was his fiscal responsibility. He literally was deemed the Republican Trotskyite while mayor for reeling in spending and building the city's coffers.

This awed tone of MSM coverage of #Sanders is so gendered.

Harris and Klobuchar are both daughters of single mothers who had to raise their kids alone after their husbands left the families.
Warren also grew up in a working class family in Oklahoma.

Money was a stress for these women's families as well. Klobuchar has spoken movingly of her family's estrangement from her father, an alcoholic.
But the coverage of these women not only hasn't reflected this awe of their families' struggles, but has been harshly critical.

No one has situated Klobuchar's perfectionism within the well-documented construct of being the child of an alcoholic fighting chaos.

Harris and Klobuchar both had to work harder than their male counterparts to get on their college & career paths, due to their backgrounds.

The insistence by white male writers that there is a two-white-man race out there between Bernie & Beto is so deeply, stunningly misogynist, it takes my breath away.

How is it POSSIBLE that these folks missed the blue wave which was fundamentally female--driven by women voters?
Not just driven by women voters, but driven by women candidates. Left-leaning women candidates, including WOC who ousted long-time older white male incumbents like....Bernie Sanders.

How is anyone missing this fact?
It's a major reason why Sanders' numbers have plummeted.

Bernie Sanders will not be the democratic nominee in 2020, and that will make a lot of white men have a lot of sads.

So many sads.

They will react with anger at being sad, because masculinity is toxic like that.

And they will lie about why he lost.
They will pretend it is because the person he lost to is moderate or established or the whole thing was rigged or whatever other bullshit nonsense.

they will reuse much of the same oped they are writing about hakeem jeffries and that they wrote about hillary clinton.
They will never admit it is because Bernie Sanders courts a lot of people who anger the base of the democratic party. He talks in a way that alienates much of the base too.

The base is not Greenwald, Ryan Grim, and that dude who Maxine put in a coma.
