Finally a media outlet that has listened to us -this piece doesn't carry all detail/info but it does finally out Patrick Curran who is racist spokesperson/organiser of #Oughterard campaign & who has worked closely with far-right agitators -Curran is STILL involved in the campaign

#Oughterard still have lots of work to do weeding out ties to far-right & racists The fact that far-right were heavily involved in #Oughterard from get go is a huge wake up call to this country. The racism, Islamophobia & far-right prop that was spewed EVERYWHERE was frightening!

The far-right were also involved in #Lisdoonvarna, #Moville, #Rooskey etc.. They latch on to a few racist, like minded locals and drive the narrative. Anyone who criticises them or calls them out, is accused of calling the whole village or town racist - similar tactics everywhere

NB. I believe campaign in #Oughterard need to make a clear statement, come clean, admit once & for all, what we now all know, that yes far-right were involved from the get go & they have now gotten rid of ALL links to Gearoid Murphy, National Party, GO'D etc..this must happen imo

NB. The campaign in #Oughterard also imo owe a sincere apology to Joe Loughnane of @galwayantiRN Joe is an anti-racism campaigner for many years & was subjected to some of the worst personal attacks & racist abuse I have ever witnessed online in Patrick Curran's fb group.

Curran as admin allowed these attacks take place & racism/far-right prop be spread all over his #Oughterard group, as did other admin & Gemma O'Doherty supporter local Aine K Walsh After we 1st exposed them they cleaned up the group but it still has GO'D/far-right activists on it

Please note - far-right activists were not just working online as the headline suggests, they were also present firmly on the ground in #Oughterard - some are in fact local, some came from further afield - they were at the first meeting, at the protest and at the ongoing picket.

Rafferty, works alongside many other well known fascist agitators eg GO'D supporters / #ACI members, Gearoid Murphy, Tan Turdino, the National Party, Irexit, far-right anti-choice activists, Yellow Vest Ireland etc There is big crossover between these far-right groups

Are we in a situation in Ireland where ppl do not know blatant racist comments? Or are ppl aware & deliberately ignoring this man's blatant racism and Islamophobia? It is shocking that this man is pretending to lead a campaign against DP b'cos it's "inhumane" - joke
