Burr and Warner are here delivering a statement together. Burr says they’ve had "a very productive first day” and will keep going through the process of learning more about this issue.
Burr said the committee staff will be “extremely busy” in the next few weeks.
Atkinson and Maguire were “extremely forthcoming” today, Burr said.
Burr/Warner made a point of setting their committee apart from House Intel in their statements and by appearing at the mics together. Warner noted how they’re pursuing this in a bipartisan manner while Burr made a remark about how their probe will be slower than the House’s.
Burr and Warner did not take questions.
