I found some evidence on who funds The Federalist based on their google tracking id
a google id is the tracking number assigned by google analytics

format is

UA-000000-1

UA, followed by an account number, followed by a site number if you use the same tag multiple times

first site

UA-0000-1

2nd site

UA-0000-2

etc..

If you view source on a webpage you can find the code by searching for "ua-" and finding the code snippet

if you check The Federalist they don't currently have one setup but...
if you check Archive.org's earliest record for them there is one UA-31527-41

so whoever built The Federalist decided in 2013 to use the same tag as the Real Clear Politics group

Genocides, authoritarian regimes, and other human atrocities don't have a tipping point or inflection point, no one act you can point to and say this is when it flipped, it isn't a binary on/off. It is a slow erosion that builds until it spills over.
Years of hate, dehumanization, perceived victim hood, attacks on an "enemy group" etc.

One of the steps is repeated tests for just how muddied the waters have become and how far those in power can push their followers. Can they get them to give $$? perform violent acts? etc..
Can they get away with locking up children?

Can they get away with tearing down firewalls and institutions that are built to stop their autocratic sprawl?

Can they browbeat and scare the opposition into taciturn silence?

It’s part of China’s overall world domination goal, the AI goal to be completed by 2030.
China has utilized their “Thousand Talents” program to recruit people who’ve gained knowledge in specific industries in the west to help advance the Communist party’s objectives.
In this case, they’ve collaborated with Google’s head of AI, Jeff Dean, who is also a member of CCP-funded Tsinghua University’s computer science advisory committee.
