#Google claims they’re not working with #China’s military, but they are through a top Chinese university that took major funding from the CCP to advance the Chinese military’s AI goals.

It’s part of China’s overall world domination goal, the AI goal to be completed by 2030.
China has utilized their “Thousand Talents” program to recruit people who’ve gained knowledge in specific industries in the west to help advance the Communist party’s objectives.
In this case, they’ve collaborated with Google’s head of AI, Jeff Dean, who is also a member of CCP-funded Tsinghua University’s computer science advisory committee.
Also involved are Google’s former VP of Cloud/Chief of Cloud AI and former Google Cloud AI head of research and development. Both worked for Google for several years until one joined Stanford University’s computer science Dept in 2018.
One of them claimed that they pushed Google CEOs to help set up an AI center in China not long after she started working for Google.

There have been several cases related to patient recruiters, though this probably isn’t all of them.

The DOJ appointed Robert Zink as permanent Chief of the Fraud Section, which investigates and prosecutes white collar crime (under which the FCPA falls).

FBI is investigating Ghislaine Maxwell's environmental "charity" Terramar.

I remember reading someone's thread recently and they dug up some info about Terramar, but now I can't remember who it was. Grrr, I need to find it.....

LOL, after the NY Post started asking Terramar questions earlier this month, they blocked their public website and made it password-only.

And just last week, Terramar completely ceased operations!

Over the past 20 years, China has made tremendous progress in improving its military capabilities, but its modernization program will remain a work in progress in the decade to come.
China trails the US in terms of nuclear attack submarines, aerial refueling & amphibious capacity. Beijing will continue to develop its capabilities on these fronts, but based on current projections, it will not reach parity with the US by 2030.
