This is going to be "Naughty Week" on PODLOMATIC 😋 I'm looking forward to chatting with a handful of notable creators, each having committed one common "crime": They dared to stand up for themselves and speak their minds against corruption in the indie community.

After speaking to scores of "outcasts" & insiders afraid to speak openly, I've observed a recurring pattern: Guilt By Association.

Talking to the wrong people is forbidden. It means you have been open to their influence, telling you things those in power don't want you to hear.

Only the Ruling Party is allowed to tell you the "truth," you see. There are NOT two sides to every story, it turns out. There is one permissible narrative.

Stay silent, obey, and you will be rewarded with access to the community, especially their generous cash. Bite the hand...

Even Liking the wrong tweet is enough to force your associates into full disavowal, throwing you under the bus so their careers can remain secured.

All these Purity Tests are occurring in a group that once advertised itself as anti-SJW, as free-thinking, welcoming.

Well, PODLOMATIC is a show that legitimately welcomes any creator. I'm not afraid of "tarnishing" myself by speaking to the "wrong" people.

I have the maturity to decipher what the truth is. So does my audience. I love deep conversations, learning about what makes people tick.

Nobody gets to tell me who to speak to, or listen to, or whose work I'm allowed to enjoy. We are artists, and lovers of art. It's our duty to reach across fences, regardless of conflicting beliefs, and shake hands on the basis of our common humanity and passion for our craft.

Anyone who tells you to avoid me for talking to these people? I'd advise you to carefully consider why you're being warned. Maybe it's because I walk around with my eyes open, and I can see behind masks.

Magicians who depend in illusions to thrive, despise people like me.

This is why I was run off Reddit in December: I showed r/comics a mirror reflection of themselves, and they didn't like what they saw.

It seems by talking to everyone in Comicsgate, I've "learned too much" and done the same here. Well, so be it. We deserve to know the truth.

I hope my little show helps everyone see the reality behind the illusions. By hearing what's going on behind the scenes, maybe we can restore some health and stability to this struggling industry, and everyone can prosper - even our enemies.

Comics is bigger than any of us.
