Hoo boy it's politics time again

So apparently #AntifaDomesticTerrorists is trending with a video of masked people yelling at an old lady and calling her a nazi because she was headed to listen to a conservative speaker.

While I don't condone shouting at old ladies 1/?
I do think it's kind of telling that this one video is sparking this kind of anger, while the 334 mass shootings so far in 2019 (of which most were committed by alt-right nazis) don't even faze the right.

It's almost as if the right adheres to an "Us vs them" ideology 2/?
that pits "true americans" versus whoever they disagree with. The logical conclusion of this is fascism. This is not political bias, this is how the world works. Making a group of people "The enemy" leads to hate.

But that raises the paradox of antifa. How can they claim to 3/?
hate fascists, if they themselves hate a specific group of people?

Now I shouldn't have to explain the difference between hating nazis and hating black people, but for the benefit of all you at home, I'll try my best. 4/?
Nazis: Literally glorify the mass genocide of specific ethnic/religious groups

Black people: Do not glorify the mass genocide of specific ethnic/religious groups

It is necessary, in a truly equal society, to hate those who spread undeserved hate. 5/?
And so we come back to #AntifaDomesticTerrorists. Did that lady deserve it?
Probably not.

Are there assholes in every political movement?
100% yes.

Do I think Antifa as a whole are domestic terrorists?
Hell no.

6/?
At this time, I'd like to call attention to one of my first tweets.

If you're offended because someone hates nazis, you might want to take a moment to reflect on your political leanings.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. 7/7

To clarify some things, I use "Black people" here as an example because they seem to be the most universally hated among nazis and white supremacists. You can swap them out for "Asian people," "Jewish people," "Middle eastern people," or any minority group you'd like.
