a white woman with a badge forces her way into a black man's residence and shoots him to death. is she a "home invader"? no, of course not. in fact, the court says *she* can viably invoke the "Castle Doctrine" as a defense for killing him *on his own property.*
and let's be clear about how it's hierarchies all the way down: in other circumstances, courts have severely punished women - black, white, and otherwise - for *non-lethally* discharging or simply *brandishing* guns against violently abusive men *in those women's own residences*
