Folks, forget Andrew Johnson, Nixon & Clinton, Benedict Arnold, Aaron Burr's "empire", Teapot Dome, Watergate, Iran-Contra. We're operating at a whole new level here, not worse than any of these but worse than all of them put together--traitors, corruption, abuse of power...
...obstruction of justice, incompetence, laws disregarded and broken, layer upon layers of lies and contempt for our institutions and values. This is one of those moments like the time Benevenuto Cellini saw a salamander run through the fire and his father slapped him...
...so he wouldn't forget. Don't forget this. With any luck you will never see this kind of lawless immoral repugnant clusterfuckery again. And if you do, it will be too late for us all and it'll be worth remembering where we all went wrong.

It is now the official foreign policy of the U.S. that we call upon foreign governments that wish to remain in our good favor to investigate the Bidens. It is also official policy that we call upon our allies to investigate the Mueller investigation.
Failure to do so will undermine good relations. It is also the established policy of the United States that countries that wish to be in good favor with the U.S. should flatter the president obsequiously and, if possible, patronize one of his hotels or resorts.
It is also the official position of the POTUS and thus, by extension the U.S. government, that we support in whatever ways possible President Vladimir Putin and the Russian government and are committed to the weakening of the NATO Alliance and all multilateral institutions.

Sorry...but have to. Have read too many articles recently about the Dem "shift left." Since when is it "left" to think public lands and the environment should be protected? Left like Teddy Roosevelt you mean?
Since when is it "left" to be a strict constructionist & believe the 2d Amend. which very narrowly grants a right to bear arms to support a "well-ordered militia" means granting military grade assault weapons to everybody? Left like Nixon appointee Warren Burger you mean?
Since when is it left to want to stand up to Russian aggression and to defend America vigorously against foreign enemies? Left like Ronald Reagan, you mean?

I'm lying in bed unable to sleep, my mind boggled by today's developments...and those of the past three years. I am not sure whether it is the scope of the criminality and abuse and corruption and lies or whether it is the number of GOP leaders who support and defend them.
No, I'm sure. It's the latter. The scope is mind-boggling and far outstrips the worst dystopian nightmare of a presidency I ever could have imagined. But it is made possible by the McConnells and the Barrs and Fox and Breitbart and the GOP and the NRA.
There is a massive industry dedicated to gutting our Constitution, undermining the rule of law in America, devastating our standing in the world, despoiling our environment and empowering our enemies. And thus far nothing has been able to stop it or even slow it down.

The city's police department is contending with an active serial murderer, now with six victims under his belt. DPD assumes it's a man, only because serial killers are typically male. Aside from this assumption, there is frustratingly little known about the suspect.
It was DPD's Lieutenant Hank Anderson, a thirty-plus-year veteran of the force, who first posited that the early killings were related. The murderer has refined his MO, but forensic examination continues to support the idea that all six deaths are the work of the same man.

Tricky to balance reporting on Trump drama without “normalizing” the new reality which itself is so bizarre that media shouldn’t, in theory, need to spice it up, yet here we are, and it’s only going to get more bombastic now that the public has been primed for a riveting climax.
2. Beyond media hyperbole, public has also been primed for relentless investigations of POTUS and officials for decades (Watergate, Iran-Contra, Whitewater, Lewinsky, Plamegate, Benghazi, Emailgate, Russiagate) - it all seems much worse now because 24/7 news cycle, social media.
3. With “Russian meddling” we should assume that the Kremlin knew it could exploit American public’s/media’s penchant for such investigations - surely, Putin had to know one was coming with his meddling - is this why he didn’t bother covering his tracks?

This surveillance tech is deployed at Sabarimala currently with Artificial Intelligence based high-res cameras fitted onto drones synced with various databses and biometric profiles under what they call "Predictive Policing" - stopping crime before it starts or future crimes.
Under Predictive Policing Hot Spot analysis police personnel will analyze & predict geographical areas of increased crime on basis of crime data. It will process all patterns relating to time of occurrence, exact locations, even shops, hotels, bars or other establishments.
Detectives will study social & infrastructural environment of a location & its local demography. Analysis will also be made of such things as local weather conditions, days on which offences are committed, whether it was around pay-day etc. But how they know its your pay-day? :)
