AOC responds "I think we all need to understand there’s a lot of solutions we all have." @AOC doesn’t even tell the lady eating babies isn’t an option or uhh... don’t eat babies or eating babies isn’t okay... just "we have more than a few months” & "there’s a lot of solutions".😳
What planet are we on right now? How is "we need to eat babies" part of the climate alarmism discussion? These people are genuinely insane.

Mitt Romney is bitter and angry. He could stomach losing to a candidate who made words sound pretty in Obama but he can’t stand that a man who speaks like normal people do got the job done that he couldn’t. Passive aggressive hate has driven his Jeff Flake persona since 2016.
Mitt Romney has always cared about one thing: What’s good for Mitt Romney. He’s a typical politician who wants to control people. Mitt & his ilk kept me from being openly Republican. They aren’t fighters, they’re content just being in the arena even if it means they always lose.
No one wants to stick their neck out for someone who’s content being a loser. That’s who Mitt always was so I kept my mouth shut about politics even as I reluctantly voted for him. He cares about his elite friends approval, his $ & doesn’t appear he cares about much else, period.

This video of Rep. Rashida Tlaib should be the top story of the week. She is advocating for explicitly racist hiring practices and makes it clear that she believes non-black people can’t tell black people apart. Dems should be asked if they support this.
Detroit Police Chief James Craig says "it’s insulting" @RashidaTlaib implied white analysts can’t do their jobs professionally. He wonders why she doesn’t face pressure to resign, "if I’d made a similar statement people would be calling for my resignation."
I have immense respect for Detroit Police Chief James Craig for how he handled such ridiculous racism from Rep. @RashidaTlaib. Send these to the press & force them to ask every elected Democrat if they support or disavow Rashida’s racist bullying demands to a black Police Chief.

The panic you’re seeing over Attorney General Barr engaging other countries as part of his investigation into events before & after 2016 tells you 2 things:

1. Barr isn’t going anywhere and they know he’s gonna drop damning stuff
2. They hope to undermine the impact with this BS
Me when leftists in my mentions are mad.
Expect this wave of attacks against Barr and Trump to continue for a little while. This is a prolonged, desperate tantrum. This is how unstable people lash out when they don’t get what they want especially when it’s time to face the consequences of their actions.

Justice awaits.

Before pearl clutching and claiming moral high ground, I think Pete supporters need to understand where Beto is coming from and why he might have gotten upset about his insensitive comments:

A thread.
1/ It’s been a rough 2 months. First, Beto had to witness his own hometown be stricken by a mass shooting. A white supremacist traveled 600 miles for the sole purpose of murdering Hispanics... with an AK-47.

Hardly a month later, another mass shooting in his home state occurred.
2/ On and off the campaign trail, Beto had been meeting with victims of gun violence, absorbing their stories and taking them to heart. He has even visited hospital patients multiple times, some STILL undergoing several surgeries to treat trauma wounds.

I'd highly recommend reading the thread, but TL;DR
We receive/create/use knowledge based on our viewpoint, which is impacted by aspects of our identity
Therefore, knowledge will be biased and flawed if we rely on the perspective of those outside an identity rather than within
To expand it out a bit (thanks to someone's insightful comment), I think we also need to understand that our academic knowledge base is already *incredibly* biased, as we have centuries of Western academia focusing on the perspectives/knowledge of a single group: cishet white men

But one thing I'll PLEAD with Facebook, @Google, and @twitter to do - release some numbers so people can understand how hard content moderation is. Release stuff like:
- How many millions of posts are created each day
- How many AI flags as dangerous
- How many users flag...
@Google @Twitter - How many platform staff flag
- How many posts get human moderators see/make decisions on

People really don't understand this and how many millions of posts there are to moderate. And how only after you get through the super illegal dangerous stuff, can you even think about...
...viewpoints or whatever.

And explain to people what happens if your moderators stop or even just police stuff 10% over the line and ignore all that's on it. I know what happens, but I think people and Congress need to hear this all from platforms.

So let me tell you a story about a friend of mine who called me a while ago, bewildered that Trump wasn’t complying with the law in open sight.

They’re a good sort, the kind where when they’re sort of clueless you write it off as an accident of birth; that’s their class showing.
Which is to say that they come from a background where everyone is a professional and they all went to ivy schools and things are tough for anyone my age but they’ve never been truly uncomfortable. Few people in their circles have, and those who know don’t talk about it much.
(There is no way I could explain to a night cook how absolutely little these people discuss money. They discuss finance and investing and apr on various kinds of loans, but never ever money. Nor financial setbacks. It’s fucking wild, they’re all incredibly isolated by it.)

@BayoOlorire I think you first need to understand what your definitions of “more” are, alongside “success” and “prosperity” and “making it”. The earlier in your life you can clarify your definitions correctly especially as a Christian, the easier your path will be and the ligter your steps.
