1. Let Labour pick who is PM, *but can't be Corbyn*
2. Let Tories pick who is Chancellor, *but can't be Johnson*
3. Labour fill 3rd most important role (could be Corbyn)
4. Tories fill 4th most important role (could be Johnson)
5. SNP fill 5th
6. LibDems fill 6th
7. Labour, Tories, SNP, LibDems next (10 Cabinet posts filled)
8. Change UK TIG, Greens, Plaid Cymru next (13 Cabinet posts filled)
9. If need be, another couple of Tory/Labour rounds
10. Hey presto, a real Government of National UNITY.
GNU composition:
PM: Labour
Chancellor: Tories
4 more Labour Cabinet Ministers
4 more Tory Cabinet Ministers
2 SNP Cabinet Ministers
2 LibDem Cabinet Ministers
1 Green Cabinet Minister
1 PC Cabinet Minister
1 Change UK TIG Cabinet Minister
That's 17 roles. More than enough!
NOTE 1: If necessary, tweak a bit. Especially if I forgot any party! But that's the broad principle. Result: a Labour-led GNU made up of all parties.

NOTE 2: For "Tories" you might also include "rebel Tories".

Here's the Government's Brexit "No deal readiness report". It runs to 155 pages. It is a peculiar mix of jolly pro-Brexit cheerleading and hair-raising warnings about everything that's about to hit us with the force of a charging rhino.

From Michael Gove's introduction: "This report, therefore, outlines what businesses and individuals must do to get ready for
Brexit."

See the *must do* bit? This was released yesterday. By the time 31 October rolls around, it will have been read by about 0.01% of the population.
This is word for word one of the bullet points about what the Government has been doing to prepare: "Ensured that we have more than 15,000 of the best and brightest civil servants working on Brexit."

Now where did I put that bucket?

The WTO was created in 1995. Liz Truss, our actual Secretary of State for International Trade and not just a comedy figure, tweets about the WTO having been worried where we are for the last 45 years. Something doesn't add up. My money's on reality!
These things have a habit of going away, so here's the car crash again in screenshot form...
And the punchline... she actually said the line in a speech at the WTO meeting in Geneva. That's like walking into a vegan convention and bragging about steak. They will have seen through her mistake in a millionth billionth of a nanosecond.

The opposition has to decide whether to replace PM Johnson; and if so, when to replace him; who will replace him; and what the new PM will do when in office. 2/
Many (myself included) think that they should act now. Some though would prefer to wait til late October, once Johnson has failed to get a new deal, and once he has been forced by the Benn Act to ask for an extension. 3/

There’s a load of MPs who have left Labour BECAUSE they regard him unfit to be PM. They have put their careers on the line.
