“It's not Jo Swinson keeping Jeremy Corbyn from leading a government of national unity”

It is the “Independent MPs who sit with neither Party.”

Can we have some fairness now? Please?

I really struggle to understand why normally rational people find it so hard to understand this.

There’s a load of MPs who have left Labour BECAUSE they regard him unfit to be PM. They have put their careers on the line.
Then there are the Tories Independents.
Labour has yet to make a single compromise to accommodate all the other groups. “It has to be Labour. It has to be Corbyn” (McDonnell 1/10/2019, BBC).

All other groups ARE compromising. A lot.
“...the reality is that the people whose preferences will decide if a government of national unity is formed are the independents who sit for neither party; and no amount of cajoling will make them accept a government led by Corbyn.”
