This evening, Tamarac City Commission will consider censuring Commissioner Mike Gelin.
The motion is sponsored by Mayor Michelle Gomez, who says that by calling out Sheriff's Deputy Joshua Gallardo for wrongfully arresting him, Commissioner Gelin broke the city's Civility Code.

This is despite the fact that Commissioner Gelin has since released his cell phone video of the arrest, which completely accords with his narrative of events, and shows that the police officer did in fact lie on his police report.
The meeting starts at 7 & the motion to censure is item 7 on the agenda.
