I think everyone has to find their own version of 'not feeding', because how it affects you depends on so many things.
As a white male, for example, it's FAR easier for me to take a simple approach to trolling than for others, as I get it far less.

For what it's worth, and in case it's useful, my personal model (given I tend to get it only in bursts and from Brexit truthers) is simply to reply to every one of their posts demanding answers from me to their clever points, or telling me how to write differently, with:
"Thank you for your tweet. Your feedback is important to us and will be may be used to help improve future tweets."
Which REALLY annoys them. Especially when you do it again on the inevitable reply to THAT tweet.
They normally get bored and huff off after that, because they're getting a reaction but not one they can use.
This is VERY MUCH a strategy that works for me though. Won't for all.
