@MrQuarkee @tinkerprincess0 Clannad is a roller coaster ride of emotions. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, it makes you wish you had someone to love.

All of the jokes land, all of the feels are had, and it blows your mind when the B plot finally resolves.
@MrQuarkee @tinkerprincess0 Angel Beats! Is a little bit rushed, tbh. You have 12 episodes to get introduced to everyone, the plot, and end the show.

It's a breakneck pace that isn't too noticable on the first watch but then you start feeling it after subsequent watches
@MrQuarkee @tinkerprincess0 It kind of suffers from characters stopping the story in order to explain their life story, telling you everything you need to know about them for no reason but to make sure you know about that character.
@MrQuarkee @tinkerprincess0 In contrast, many plot points are started in one episode, finished in that same episode, and a new plot point is then hinted slightly at the end. Only two sub-plot span more than two episodes.
@MrQuarkee @tinkerprincess0 Tl;Dr - Angel Beats is good, but needed to be longer. I urge everyone to watch it at least twice, the first time just to enjoy and the second to look at critically.

For example, could Angel Beats! classify a harem anime? Watch it and find out!
@MrQuarkee @tinkerprincess0 In contrast to all of that, Clannad takes a little too long to start off with. You have a cast of major characters that get about 5 episodes each all about their story, and it's super obvious because Tomoya follows them and goes through their story
@MrQuarkee @tinkerprincess0 Really, Season 2 (After Story) has the best jokes and feels, but you have to watch Season 1 to get the introduction to the B story. Not like that's a bad thing, since you also get attached to the characters.

Also, the end of the A story was really good for me at the time
@MrQuarkee @tinkerprincess0 But anyway, Clannad is a total of 48 episodes long and I recommend binging it from start to finish.
@MrQuarkee @tinkerprincess0 (I think that was maybe too much information...)
